WIRE MESH FLOOR SYSTEM ( Dimension and specification)

This is the system of suspending birds above the ground, using wood or iron cage and mesh wire.

DIMENSION AND SPECIFICATION
πŸ“ Total heigh: 3.5 fts
From the deep litter to the floor of the cage is 1.5ft
From the floor of the cage to the top is 2fts.. This 2 fts forms the busket where the birds stays.

πŸ“ Width: 4 fts
πŸ“Length: 6fts
Therefore,  One unit is 3.5ft (height)  *4fts (width)  *3.5fts (length)

Smaller wire mesh is used for brooding day old to 14 days.  After which they are transfered to a another mesh with bigger holes/pores.

16mm rods should be use.

INSTALLATION

NB: Do not weld the mesh wire to the floor of the cage so that you can remove it later when watching and cleaning the cage.

πŸ“ Construct the cage with the specification above ( you can also modify it to suit your taste or needs)

πŸ“ Take them  to site and arrange them on a a straight line ( width to width like a tent πŸ•.

πŸ“ Straighten the mesh wire and insert it into the cage from the top.

πŸ“ Use another mesh wire to guard the sides ( length and width).

πŸ“ The pores of the mesh of Day Old Birds should  be smaller,  that is mesh wire with smaller pores should be used for brooding DOCs.
