POST-UTME SCREENING EXERCISE FOR ADMISSION TO THE DELTA STATE POLYTECHNIC, OZORO FOR THE 2013/2014 SESSION

This is to inform all interested candidates that the Post-UTME Screening Exercise for admissions into various programmes of the Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro has been scheduled to hold on Friday 13 and Saturday, 14th September, 2013

1.  Eligibility for Participation
(i) All candidates who chose the Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro as first and/or second choice and scored 150 and above in the UTME for the 2013/2014 Admission Exercise are eligible to participate in the screening exercise.

(ii)  Those who did not choose the Polytechnic but wish to be considered for admissions to the Polytechnic and scored the afore-mentioned cut off mark are also eligible to take part in the screening exercise.

2. Grouping
The grouping of courses, days and time for the screening exercise are as indicated below:

Day One
Friday, 13th Sept., 2013: Time 9 am:
a.   School of Agriculture
(i)   ND Agricultural Technology
(ii)  ND Fisheries Technology

b.   School of Engineering
(i)   ND Agric & Bio-Environmental Engineering Tech
(ii)  ND Civil Engineering Technology

c.   School of Environmental Studies
(i)   ND Building Technology
(ii)  ND Quantity Surveying Technology

d.  School of Science & Technology
(i)   ND Computer Science
(ii)  ND Statistics
(iii) ND Science Laboratory Technology

Day Two
Saturday, 14th Sept., 2013: Time 9am
e.   School of Business Studies
(i)     ND Accountancy
(ii)    ND Banking & Finance
(iii)   ND Business Administration
(iv)    ND Office Technology & Management

3. Instructions for purchase and completion of Post-UTME Application Forms online

(i) Screening Fee
The Screening Fee for all candidates is N2,000.00 (two thousand naira) only.  All Interested candidates should pay the Screening Fee in favour of Delta State Polytechnic Ozoro, in any branch of Mainstreet Bank Plc nationwide or First Bank of Nigeria Plc, Ozoro branch only, Unity Bank, Ozoro branch only and I.C. Global - Microfinance Bank, Ozoro branch only. Purchase Scratch Card from same bank.

(ii) Log on to www.dspzportal.org and click online application; then, click ND
(iii) Create a user name, enter your full name and put in your scratch card Pin Code in the fields provided and apply.  Your form must be completed ONLINE
(iv)  If you are successful at the Post-UTME screening, you will be required to submit the following documents to the Admission Office:

i.  Five (5) recent passport photographs.
ii. Two (2) photocopies of:

· Examination result listed in the Application Form
· Certificate of Local Government of Origin
· Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age
· Teller for the purchase of Post-UTME Application Form
· Two copies of your on-line Application form


The closing date for all application is Friday, 10 September, 2013

Note Also:
GSM phones and calculators are not allowed
Candidates who make false declarations of UTME scores and Ordinary Level grades shall not be considered for admission.


4. Materials Required for the Screening Exercise
(i)  Original and one photocopy of Acknowledgement Card
(ii)  Original of Payment Receipt
(iii) Four Figure Table, where applicable
(iv) Writing materials (HB pencil and eraser)

Mode of Dressing
(i) Corporate
